Shhh Time

It is your 30 min of the day to do anything, but quietly. Be inspired by what other Teens recommend doing during this time:

“I like just being totally alone and asking the Lord what He wanted me to hear from Him that day and then reading a passage from the Bible and meditating”

“Grab your headphones, Bible, go a few steps away from the others, and just start talking to Jesus about what’s on your mind.”

“I went through the “magazine” and wrote a little bit what I think is most important.”

“Praying or listening to worship.”

“Sleeping.”

“Reflecting on mainhall and spend quality time with God.”

As soon as you hear the TeenStreet 2024 theme song through the speakers on site  Shhh Time is over.

Country Focus: Sudan

Sudan has faced a tumultuous few years. Massive protests in 2018 eventually led to the arrest of the President and the end of his rule, 30 years after he seized power in a military coup. A transitional military-civilian government was formed in 2019. Two military coup attempts – the second one successful – followed in 2021 before transition to civilian rule could be completed. Sudan’s political and socio-economic future remain unresolved. The gospel spread through these many years of upheaval. Although the conflicts created terrible suffering, they made the Church more mature. The wars scattered Christian refugees throughout the country, so even through suffering the good news spread. The Islamic government bombed churches and other Christian buildings in the South, and specifically targeted Christian areas for attack. But many believers kept their faith, and even took the gospel to other ethnic groups during these hard times!

Prayer points:

  • Pray that the legacy of oppressive, militaristic rule in Sudan might be ended in Jesus’ name.
  • Pray for a government that will work hard to make the country flourish.
  • Pray for the rapid spread of the gospel.
