Small Group 1 - Girls

DUNAMIS - Boys (Mainhall)

This is our special session just for Boys. The Girls will be in their Small Groups in the meantime, so we can talk from heart to heart in Mainhall!

Shhh Time

It is your 30 min of the day to do anything, but quietly. Be inspired by what other Teens recommend doing during this time:

“I like just being totally alone and asking the Lord what He wanted me to hear from Him that day and then reading a passage from the Bible and meditating”

“Grab your headphones, Bible, go a few steps away from the others, and just start talking to Jesus about what’s on your mind.”

“I went through the “magazine” and wrote a little bit what I think is most important.”

“Praying or listening to worship.”

“Sleeping.”

“Reflecting on mainhall and spend quality time with God.”

As soon as you hear the TeenStreet 2024 theme song through the speakers on site  Shhh Time is over.

Country Focus: Maldives

Maldives, officially the Republic of Maldives, is a small island state in South Asia, situated in the Arabian Sea of the Indian Ocean. The country consists of 1192 islands. Of these 185 are inhabited. Almost all of the roughly 29,000 inhabitants are Muslim (anyone wishing to become a citizen is required by law to nominally follow Sunni Islam) and non-Muslims are not permitted to worship or practice their religion except in private. However, a people group with roughly 1000 people of Tamil origin forms a minority and Tamils are mostly practicing Hinduism, the ancient religion of India. The Tamils visit Hindu temples and offer prayers, food, flowers, and incense to their gods in hopes of gaining protection and benefits. They do not have a personal or familial relationship with their gods as Christians do with their heavenly Father.

Prayer points:

  • Pray that the Lord raises up a Disciple Making Movement among the Tamils in the Maldives in this decade.
  • Pray that the Lord moves believers and churches to reach out and share the
    good news with the Tamils.
  • Pray that more Christian literature and videos become easily available in the
    Tamil language.
