Shhh Time

It is your 30 min of the day to do anything, but quietly. Be inspired by what other Teens recommend doing during this time:

“I like just being totally alone and asking the Lord what He wanted me to hear from Him that day and then reading a passage from the Bible and meditating”

“Grab your headphones, Bible, go a few steps away from the others, and just start talking to Jesus about what’s on your mind.”

“I went through the “magazine” and wrote a little bit what I think is most important.”

“Praying or listening to worship.”

“Sleeping.”

“Reflecting on mainhall and spend quality time with God.”

As soon as you hear the TeenStreet 2024 theme song through the speakers on site  Shhh Time is over.

Country Focus: Kyrgyzstan

More than any other Central Asian people, the Kyrgyz have clung to their traditional way of life as nomadic cattle raisers. They have also maintained their tribal organization. Today, the Kyrgyz live in one of the highest plateaus of the world. Kyrgyzstan is currently in the throes of an economic crisis. This has led to a sharp drop in production, creating shortages of almost all consumer goods.
A Kyrgyz who becomes a Christian is seen as betraying his identity and family unity. Recently Kyrgyz Christians have faced opposition from Muslims, but with a new twist. Their new strategy is not to persecute Christians, but win them back to Islam through kindness, compassion, sympathy, and shame.

Prayer points:

  • Pray that God will provide finances for training materials in the Kyrgyz language.
  • Pray that local believers in Kyrgyzstan would be deeply discipled and from that
mobilized to boldly live out their identity and reach even more of their own
    people.
  • Ask the Lord of the harvest to send forth labourers into Kyrgyzstan.
